Do you have on-site parking?

Yes! We're one of the only surf schools in the Newquay area with private parking for our customers and definitely the most spacious. Our safe carpark overlooks the beautiful Watergate Bay.

If you say you’re with the surf school, you'll get a discounted rate.

How do I get there?

If you’re coming from the centre of Newquay, you'll drive through Porth. Then up the hill, just before the dip into Watergate, you'll see some open gates on your left. Turn into the car park on top of the hill. It's called “Watergate Top Field Car Park”. Then drive to the bottom.

If you’re coming from Watergate direction, then from the bottom of the bay, drive up the road towards Newquay. After the lay-by on your right, you will see our brand new shipping containers.

Go up a little further to the entrance of the car park on your right.

What do I need to bring?

For your surf lesson, you just need to bring a towel, flip flops and your swimwear. If you can get changed into your swimwear before, it'll take the pressure off using the changing rooms if there's still restrictions.

When should I arrive for my lesson?

You should aim to get here 20 mins before your lesson.

If you're running late just let us know. Be aware that Cornwall can get very busy in the summer so it's best to leave early. When you get here, you can grab some food and drinks, and take in the view before your lesson starts.

What if it's raining or bad weather?

Surfing is one of the few family activities in Newquay that's rarely affected by the weather. We use premium, warm wetsuits that work year round and have brand new heated changing rooms. As well as the Hang Out cafe for hot drinks afterwards.

The only time your lesson may be cancelled is if the winds are too high, the swell is too strong or there's heavy fog. If the beach has red flagged these, we'll contact you to rearrange or refund your surf lesson with as much notice as possible.

Luckily this only happens once or twice a season.

I've already booked my lesson, but I'd love to move it?

That's fine! During peak season, we often sell out up to a week in advance for some slots so we can't guarantee it.

I just want to hire a board, is that possible?

Of course, we keep more brand new Soft-tech boards in stock than we teach lessons.

During peak seasons, we can sometimes sell out on sunny days so we recommend giving a call in advance on +44 7772 251 778.
